Students, student groups and university organizations are invited to participate and help bring the heat to Open Streets ICT: WSU & Shocker Neighborhood from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 19.

Open Streets ICT: WSU & Shocker Neighborhood is a free community-building event along 17th Street (from Oliver to Volutsia), focused on elevating physical well-being and healthy living while fostering lasting connections.

Volunteer and connect with thousands of community members or table and increase engagement through fun activities and games. Registration is free, just select “on route” when completing the form.

Join this free, community-building event. Connect with fellow community members, local vendors, organizations and resources while enjoying a fun, active day outdoors. Last April, more than 10,000 attendees filled 17th Street to celebrate Shocker Pride.

This is a fantastic opportunity for WSU departments/groups to engage with the community while being part of the fun. All WSU departments, groups and RSOs register for free, just put “on route” at registration.

Come on down from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3 in Wichita State Connect and support local vendors this holiday season.

Wichita State Connect, with CM Consulting and Development Services, are celebrating Black-owned businesses this holiday season and are inviting individuals in Shocker Neighborhood, the campus community and student vendors to its Black Business Circle.

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 at Wichita State Connect. The registration fee is $50 per person.

Wichita State Connect will host an open house on from 3-5:30 p.m. Oct. 24. The event will take place at the Wichita State Connect Building next to the Wichita State Police Department and Parking Services Building. Guests should enter through the east entrance. Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be provided.

Credit Union of America has partnered with Wichita State Connect for its Teacher Financial Literacy Session from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5 at Wichita State Connect.

Refreshments will be provided as well as several giveaways and a $100 Amazon gift card raffle.
