The Shocker Career Accelerator will close from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today to host the Career Connection Root Beer Kegger in front of the Rhatigan Student Center. Brennan Hall III and the John Bardo Center (suite 162) will also close from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m..

Enjoy a hot dog and an ice-cold root beer (while supplies last) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Aug. 25 on the lawn outside the RSC while learning valuable information about the WSU Shocker Career Accelerator.

This is also an opportunity to network with more than 30 employers and find out about their organizations and what employment opportunities they have available! Dress is casual.

There’s still time to register and sign-up on schedules to meet Wichita State employers for the virtual on-campus job fair 1- 3 p.m. Thursday, July 22 via Handshake.

Staff from various departments across campus are hiring for student assistant, work-study and graduate assistant employment positions available for the upcoming academic year.

Want to earn a paycheck while going to school? Register and sign up for the virtual on-campus job fair from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, July 22, via Handshake. The fair allows students to meet employers and review resumes with on-campus offices in one convenient location.

Students can also fine tune their resumes and find out the basics of navigating a virtual career fair by joining one of three career workshops to prep the event:

• Virtual Career Fair Prep Workshop: 3:30 p.m. July 14
• Resume and Handshake Clinic: 12:30 p.m. July 15
• Virtual Career Fair Prep Workshop: 6 p.m. July 20

Current and incoming students are invited to attend the Virtual On-Campus Job Fair 1-3 p.m. July 22 via Handshake. The fair will host on-campus offices, departments and colleges hiring student assistants or graduate assistants for fall 2021.

This fair is for all majors at Wichita State University. Meet and chat with staff from various departments across campus who have student assistant, work-study, and graduate assistant employment positions available for the upcoming academic year. Register and sign-up for schedules begins July 6.

Your meeting schedules will be created for you based on the information provided when filling out the registration form. The deadline to register is July 16.
