If the service is needed, for a student sign language user, for a course required event/meeting:

  • Fill out an Interpreter Request Form at least four days in advance.
  • Your department will not be invoiced for the service.

If the service is needed, for a student sign language user, for a non-course required event/meeting:

  • Fill out an Interpreter Request Form at least four days in advance or contact a local agency directly.
  • Your department will be invoiced for the service.

If the service is needed for a community member sign language user/parent:

  • Fill out an Interpreter Request Form at least four days in advance or contact a local agency directly.
  • Your department will be invoiced for the service.

If the service is needed for a WSU employee sign language user:

O.S.A.T. rates:

  • Monday-Friday (8 a.m.-5 p.m.): $57/hour (two hour minimum)
  • Evenings and weekends: $62/hour (two hour minimum)

Office of Student Accommodations and Testing recognizes note-takers

Office of Student Accommodations and Testing (OSAT) would like to thank this semester’s note-takers and recognizes Laura Bisterfeldt, Megan Castillo, Dave Del Mar and Beau Dykes for their work as note-takers during fall 2023.

Among the many accommodations OSAT provides, one is the accommodation of peer note-taking. A note-taker is required to take a short training and then share their class notes, via a shared drive/folder, with an OSAT client.

Volunteers needed to share class notes

The Office of Student Accommodations and Testing has a volunteer opportunity for Shockers and need note-takers to share their class notes with other students who have academic accommodations.
