The image has a black background with a subtle pattern of dark gray leaves. At the top, there are three solid-colored circles arranged horizontally: a red circle on the left, a green circle in the center, and a blue circle on the right. Below the circles, large white text reads "CMS" in bold, modern font. Underneath "CMS," there is a horizontal row of small white dots forming a line. Beneath the dotted line, smaller white text reads "Campus Media Services".

Classroom training is available Tuesday, Aug. 11 and Thursday, Aug. 13. These open-lab training sessions will cover how to connect to and project using the classroom technology.

Bring any personal devices you may use throughout the semester, along with your adapters as needed. If you aren’t sure what kind of adapter you may need, trainers can assess your device and indicate what kind you’ll need to connect. No appointment is required. Visit the training schedule webpage for more information.

After the summer, all Data Projector Plus (DP+ or “Gray Box”) classrooms and labs will see some small updates. Every room will receive a brighter, full HD projector, the obsolete VGA cables will be removed and replaced with 15-foot-long HDMI cables, and the DVD/VCR combo players will be removed along with any remaining overhead transparency projectors.

The Media Resources Center (MRC) will be maintaining a small inventory of each of these to be available per instructor request. Instructors will still need to provide their own adapter for their device if it does not have HDMI output on it, but they will no longer need to provide their own HDMI cable.

The updates should be completed and ready by the start of the fall 2023 semester. Any questions about these upcoming changes can be sent to Matt Claxton, classroom media coordinator with the MRC, at 316-978-3588.
