The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry will host Dr. Tatiana Mishanina from the University of California-San Diego at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at McKinley Hall (room 224). The event will also be available via Zoom. Dr. Mishanina will present research results in a talk titled “Transcribing DNA Code Into RNA Messages: Insights Into RNA Polymerase From Structural and Biochemical Experiments.”

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry will host Dr. Juan Del Valle from Notre Dame University at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at McKinley Hall (room 224). The event will also be available via Zoom. Dr. Valle will present research results in a talk titled “Nature-inspired Beta-strand Mimics Targeting Pathogenic Amyloids.”

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry will host Dr. Breann Brown from Vanderbilt University at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 27 in McKinley Hall (room 224). The event will also be available via Zoom. Dr. Brown will present research results in a talk titled “Structure-Based Insights into Control of Heme Biosynthesis.”

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry will host Dr. Wei Wei, assistant professor of engineering a Wichita State University, at a Chemistry Colloquium talk at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 17 at McKinley Hall (room 224). The event will also be available via Zoom. Dr. Wei will present research results in a talk titled “Advanced Electrode Materials for Energy Conversion and Storage.”

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry will host Dr. Matthew Tucker from the University of Nevada-Reno at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 13 in McKinley Hall (room 224). The event will also be available via Zoom.

Dr. Tucker will present research results in a talk titled “Mapping Structure and Dynamics with Site-Specific Vibrational Probe Pairs via 2D IR Spectroscopy.”

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry will host Dr. Jacinta Mutambuki from Oklahoma State University 3:30-4:30 p.m. Oct. 6 at McKinley hall (room 224). The event will also be available via Zoom. Dr. Mutambuki will present her research results in a talk titled “Development of an Inclusive Teaching Observation Protocol (ITOP) for Assessing Instructional Practices in Undergraduate STEM Classrooms.”
