The Office of Student Accommodations and Testing (OSAT) would like to inform you that Kim Bailey, testing coordinator, will be transitioning to a new role within the university, effective Oct. 26. OSAT extends its best wishes to Kim as she embarks on this new chapter.

In light of this change, OSAT would like to remind all instructors to submit the Test Information Form for students utilizing its office for exams. Timely submission is crucial for students to schedule their appointments. This same form can also be used for any make-up exams during the semester.

And remind your students that all exams require an appointment. Students must schedule their exams through registerblast.com/wsu.

For any testing-related questions, contact OSAT at testingcenter@wichita.edu or call 316-978-8378.

Due to the recent outages, the online test information/submission form with Testing Services is down. Faculty who have students receiving testing accommodations through the Office of Disability Services should deliver exams to 320 Grace Wilkie Hall or email them to testingcenter@wichita.edu.

Reminder: It is the student’s responsibility to schedule the test with Testing Services. Email Testing Services or call at 316-978-8378 with questions.

The Office of Disability Services is using a new software system to distribute accommodation letters to faculty starting spring 2023.

They will be emailed to faculty and will state the name of the intake specialist and come from disability.services@aim.wichita.edu. The subject will read as “Class, CRN # – Notification of Academic Accommodation Services.”

Any questions or concerns about the accommodations can be sent to Disability Services at disability.services@wichita.edu.

Effective Monday, Oct. 3, Testing Services will scan each examinee with a metal detector wand prior to entry into the test room. This process has been established to verify that no electronic devices are being brought into the exam room.

Examinees requesting to opt out of the wanding for medical or safety reasons (such as pregnancy, inserted medical devices, etc.) must request this accommodation through the Office of Disability Services at disability.services@wichita.edu. Students must request this accommodation at least one work week before the exam. Examinees who decline to be wanded, without an approved accommodation, will be required to reschedule their test.

The Office of Disability Services will be closed all today, Aug. 3, due to training. If you need anything, please email disability.services@wichita.edu.
