Shocker Printing and Promo Solutions thanks campus partners for attending its open house May 19 and for getting the chance to share its the space, equipment and capabilities.

Shocker Printing and Promo Solutions also held a raffle during the event, and congratulates the winners:

• Mercedes Shoemaker, Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing, won the 20×20 personalized canvas print
• Taylin Fox, Cohen Honors College, received the 8×8 “WuShock and WeeShock” canvas print
• Jennise Jenkins, School of Criminal Justice, took home a 12-square-foot poster

Shocker Printing & Promo Solutions is hosting an open house from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 19 in 011 Morrison Hall. Faculty, staff, students and campus partners are invited to stop by to tour the shop, see the equipment in action and learn more about the team’s printing and promotional capabilities.

The event will also feature overstock apparel for sale, prize drawings, giveaways and light refreshments.

Ellen Abbey, director of Shocker Printing & Promo Solutions, was featured in “Ellen Abbey: A Lasting Legacy of Customer Service” in In-Plant Impressions, a national industry publication, as part of a monthly series highlighting leaders in print management.

Shocker Printing Solutions received the Gold Award for Canvas Printing at the 2026 Association of College and University Printers (ACUP+) in Dallas.

Leah Lipke and Bethany Hearn represented Wichita State at the event, accepting the award on behalf of the team. This recognition highlights the quality and creativity of the work from Shocker Printing Solutions.

The Post Office, Promo Solutions and Shocker Printing will close at 2. p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3 and appreciate your understanding and encourage you to plan ahead for any printing or mailing needs.

Shocker Printing Solutions is thrilled to announce that the team took home three prestigious awards at the Association of College and University Printers (ACUP+) conference held in March in Lamesa, California. The team earned:

• Platinum Award for digital single page
• Gold Award for graphic design
• Gold Award for stickers

Leah Lipke and Bethany Hearn represented Wichita State at the conference, accepting the awards on behalf of the team. These accolades highlight the creativity, skill and dedication of the printing and design staff in delivering top-quality work for the campus community.

The Shocker Printing storefront will be closed for updates between 2 and 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5. You will not be able to submit a print job or place a supply order during this time so plan accordingly.

The Shocker Printing Solutions storefront will be down for a scheduled maintenance from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27. If you need to place an order during this time, email the order to shockerprinting@wichita.edu.

Shocker Printing is excited to announce that the deployment of the new copier fleet will begin the first week of October and should be completed by Oct. 31. If your department has ordered a copier, a representative from Shocker Printing will contact you to coordinate delivery to your building.

Shocker Printing is partnering with Digital Office Systems to ensure smooth delivery and setup of each copier. If you have not yet placed an order and would like to, contact copiers@wichita.edu. Copier information can be found on ITS’s Sharepoint.
