2022 electronic W-2s are now available in the State of Kansas Employee Self-Service Portal (ESS) for State of Kansas employees.

Employees are encouraged to consent to receive W-2s electronically. Instructions for completing the consent are detailed by clicking this link.

If you experience issues when trying to complete your W-2 consent, try a different web browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.

For assistance with the State of Kansas Employee Self-Service Portal passwords,  please call the State of Kansas Help Desk at 785-296-1900 or 866-999-3001.

For employees receiving a printed W-2, the form will be printed and mailed by the end of January 2023.

Due to the upcoming Labor Day holiday, Wichita State Timekeeping will have an early sign-off for the week of Aug.29-Sept. 2. Because of this, timesheets and leave reports need to be submitted and fully approved by noon today, Sept. 2.

Form W-2 Wage and Statement Copy B to be filled out with Employees Federal.

W-2 forms for calendar year 2021 are now available. A list of step-by-step instructions is also available. The steps also help with accessing electronically through the State of Kansas Employee Self Service (ESS) Portal.

Employees who have previously consented to receive the W-2 electronically will still be in
effect for this year. Employees who would like to sign up for the electronic copy must log on to the ESS Portal and consent to receive this information electronically.

Beginning at noon Oct. 18, time and leave will only be accessible via the employee dashboard.  The old banner self-service, will no longer be available for time and leave. The links will be routed to the new employee dashboard.

Wichita State’s Payroll Office offers bi-weekly training for those who are accessing the time and leave employee dashboard for the first time. This training is also available for those who need a refresher training sessions. These sessions are posted in myTraining.
