Dr. Yongtao Zhang, University of Notre Dame professor, will present a public lecture titled “High order WENO fast sweeping schemes for solving steady state problems of hyperbolic PDEs” at 3 p.m. Friday, April 29 via Zoom. The event is part of Wichita State’s spring 2022 lecture series.

Please join us for a public lecture by Dr. Jeffrey Case, visiting associate professor at the University of Washington. Case will present “The Rumin algebra” at 3 p.m.  Friday, April 22 in 335 Jabara Hall.  Refreshments will be available at 2:30 p.m. in room 353 Jabara Hall.

Please join us for a public lecture by Dr. Megan Kerr at 3 p.m. April 15 in 372 Jabara hall. Kerr, who is a professor of mathematics at Wellesley College in Massachusetts, will present “Submanifolds of Noncompact Homogeneous Spaces with Special Curvature Properties.” Refreshments will be available at 2:30 pm in 353 Jabara Hall.

The Lecture Series in the Mathematical Sciences and the Midwest Geometry Conference 2022 will host it’s never event at 3 p.m. Friday, March 11 at Jabara Hall (Room 127). Dr. Chikako Mese, a professor from Johns Hopkins University, will present a lecture titled Holomorphic Rigidity of Teichmuller space.”
