Engage ICT. The State of Incarceration. September 13.

This September edition of Engage ICT is taking a deep dive into many of the issues relating to incarceration in the community and around the state. This will include discussions at noon each Thursday in September at Engage ICT Mini series website, as well as a full Engage ICT panel discussion at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13.

An exhibition featuring KMUW featured artist Hannah Lee Scott will take place 6-8 p.m. Sept. 2 at Harvester Arts (215 N. Washington, Wichita, KS, 67202). The exhibit, “Close Encounters,” features new works by Scott, titled “Close Encounters,” features all new works by Scott.

The school year is starting back up, and among the challenges brought on by the pandemic is the nationwide teacher shortage.

We’ll speak with educators and administrators about this historic problem, and how parents can help prepare their kids for success despite these hardships. Our panelists are Katie Harmon, peer consultant at USD 259, and Suzanne Perez, KMUW’s education reporter.

The April edition of Engage ICT will take place at 5 p.m. April 19 via Facebook Live. Re-socializing after the most severe COVID-19 cases have decreased has been a challenge for many people. For this edition of Engage ICT, a panel will discuss reasons, hardships and coping mechanisms for dealing with social anxiety and behaviors.
