WSU has an Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards (SCCS), which supports and enhances the personal, ethical and intellectual growth of all students to become responsible, aware and engaged citizens. SCCS is here to help provide a safe environment for all students attending WSU. To learn more about SCCS, visit the website here

Additionally, if you would like information regarding any data and analytics from Student Conduct, it can be found here. Anyone interested in more charts and graphs regarding cases heard in the office can view the annual report, posted on the bottom of that page.

Civic engagement and freedom of expression through conversations is the goal for Wichita State University students, faculty and staff as they participate in StoryCorps’ One Small Step program.

Designed to “remind the country of the humanity in all of us,” One Small Step brings people with different political views together to record a moderated 50-minute conversation. The moderator asks questions and keeps the conversation moving. The focus is on the lives of the participants, not politics.

If you were unable to attend or watch live the 2022 Faculty and Staff Fall Address, you can watch a recording of the entire program.

President Rick Muma, with the assistance of several university representatives, outlined key focus areas for the coming year:

  • Access and affordability
  • Talent pipeline
  • Economic prosperity

Usha Haley, W. Frank Barton Distinguished Chair in International Business, director of the Center for International Business Advancement, and World Trade Council of Wichita chair — will participate on a plenary panel at the British Academy of Management annual meetings in Manchester, England, about “The Business School as a Catalyst for change, Measuring Impact Why and How” on Aug. 31.

The panelists will include Sir Cary Cooper, University of Manchester professor, and Gillian Drakeford, former United Kingdom and Ireland IKEA chief executive officer. The panel was facilitated by Andrew Jack, The Financial Times (London) editor, and Mette Morsing, United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education head.
