October 21, 2021 — The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for 2022-2023 opened Oct. 1. To help students meet the priority filing deadline Dec. 1, the Office of Financial Aid will help students fill their FAFSA forms 2-5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1 at the Rhatigan Student Center (Room 301). Participants will be entered in a drawing for a book scholarship as well as a chance to win a full-tuition scholarship for spring 2022.

October 8, 2021 — On Oct. 6, the United States Department of Education announced that it will make major changes to the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) in the next few months.

Applications are considered incomplete without the following requirements: Must be fully admitted to WSU seeking a degree Have a cumulative grade point average of a 2.7 or above Submit a copy of your resume that includes a list of activities Submit a picture of yourself for media relation purposes Write a 500‐word essay or video submission (limit 5 minutes) explaining the following: Why did you apply for the scholarship? Where do you see yourself in five years? How do you plan to give back to the community?
