New massage studio, hours

The massage studio at the Heskett Center is back with a new studio, new therapists and new hours. Whether you’re nursing sore muscles, rehabbing an injury or just needing to relieve some stress, our massage therapists can provide the healing touch you need to get back to feeling like yourself again.

The new hours are as follows:

  • 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday
  • 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

Fall 2021 sports registration now open

Registration for fall 2021 Wichita State Sports is now open. Registration ends for the following sports on these dates:

  • Thursday, Aug. 26 — Basketball, outdoor fustal, sand volleyball
  • Thursday, Sept. 23 — Pickleball, indoor volleyball, indoor soccer, flag football
  • Thursday, Nov. 25 — Bag toss, dodgeball, bowling, 8 ball

Shocker Fit fall 2021 schedule

Beginning Aug. 16, the schedule for F45 and Glide Fit classes will change. The above graphic indicates the updated class times and dates. 

Join F45 classes in Heskett Center’s F45 room or the pool for Glide Fit. Glide Fit classes end on Oct. 7, and F45 classes will continue until Dec. 9.

Campus Recreation will host an Esports open house 4-6 p.m. Aug. 17. The event will be Harry Potter-themed and will feature games, butterbeer and wizard snacks.

Boats and Bikes is hosting S’mores and Oars at  River Vista Boathouse from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25. Enjoy tours of the boathouse, outside games, free rentals for WSU students, and s’mores!

Shocker Rowing Regatta results

Shocker Rowing had an eventful spring semester. From May 1-23, the team traveled nationwide and competed at events including the Plains Regional at the Shocker Boathouse located in Wichita, Dad Vails in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Oak Ridge. Tennessee. The Shockers scored a total of 21 medals in the competitions.
