For Native American Heritage Month, Student Engagement and Belonging invites everyone on campus to a screening of the documentary “The Exiles” (1961), presented by Daniel Pewewardy (Comanche) from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17 in 262 Rhatigan Student Center, Herrman Room.
The Exiles is a film on early urban Native life. Following will be a brief discussion of Pewewardy’s Urban Native History Walk project that explores Wichita’s Indigenous stories and landmarks shaped by the Urban Indian Relocation era. Snacks and finger food will be served.
