Student Conduct & Community Standards (SCCS) is wanting to share a helpful resource regarding managing conflict with students at WSU. The guide, which can be found on the Student Conduct website, discusses five easy steps to better manage conflict:
- Get in the right mindset
- Analyze the conflict
- Address the conflict
- Focus on the future
- Use your resources
These tips can be helpful in your everyday life on- or off-campus, but it’s also important to know that you are not alone in managing your conflict. If you ever feel like the conflict is too much for you to handle, SCCS offers conflict management as part of its services and are happy to help. Additionally, if you feel that you are unsafe due to a conflict, call the University Police Department at 316-978-3450. If you believe a report needs to be made to SCCS due to the conflict, you can fill out the conduct incident response form.
