Wichita State’s legacy of professional and international athletic champions includes ground-breaking Olympians, NBA titlists and one of the most dramatic World Series home runs.
Thanks to a generous gift from the Roger and Jaki Scholfield Foundation, the legacy of Shockers who earned Olympic, Paralympic or major professional sports championships will be recognized with a display on the concourse at Charles Koch Arena.
“The Scholfield Family has long been supporters of Wichita State Athletics, going back to the early 1960’s, when I was a kid coming to the Roundhouse for games,” Roger Scholfield said. “While watching Landry Shamet – another Shocker alumni – win a World Championship, I thought it would be cool to construct a World Champion’s Wall in Charles Koch Arena.”
