Wichita State offers a variety of resources to support the campus community’s health and well-being.
Wichita State’s Office of Civil Rights, Title IX & ADA Compliance, located in the lower level of the Shocker Success Center, provides support to the campus community through training and education. WSU is committed to taking all reasonable steps necessary to avoid, prevent and deter acts of violence on campus, and to be prepared to respond to reports of criminal activity that may occur on campus.
Students seeking support related to relationship violence, sexual misconduct, stalking or other concerns are encouraged to contact Counseling and Psychological Services, located in the Student Wellness Center in the Steve Clark YMCA, at wichita.edu/caps.
Anyone in the campus community who experiences or witnesses criminal conduct at any time is encouraged to contact the police and may also report student misconduct through the university’s online reporting portal at wichita.edu/reportit.
Additional support available to students:
Located in the Student Wellness Center, Student Health Services offers a variety of services. Students can go to studenthealth.wichita.edu to schedule an appointment.
In addition to professional resources, students are encouraged to lean on their peers for support. Building a strong network of friends and classmates can provide emotional support and a sense of community. If you or a student are concerned about another student, submit a CARE Team report.
Faculty and staff also have access to the Employee Assistance Program, which provides confidential counseling services, crisis intervention and workshops on stress management and coping strategies.
Remember, it’s OK to seek help. Wichita State is here to support you.
