Writing Circle is an opportunity for faculty to get feedback on their writing (before reviewer two gets to it). The group meets from 4 to 5 p.m. every Thursday in 112 Jardine Hall at the Office of Faculty Advancement, Retention, and Excellence (FARE).
What to bring: Three paragraphs of your writing, even that first draft. Bring five printed copies, double spaced.
What to expect: Faculty spend 10-15 minutes on each person’s writing, reading to identify main points and make recommendations primarily about clarity and organization. Hearing from people outside your discipline can help fill gaps people in your area may not recognize.
