Middle East expert Phyllis Bennis speaks on ‘Understanding Palestine and Israel’

The Department of History will host a talk and Q&A session with Middle East expert Phyllis Bennis from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19 in 211 Hubbard Hall.

Bennis is program director of the New Internationalism Project at the Institute for Policy Studies, a co-founder of the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights and an international advisor and board member of Jewish Voice for Peace.

She will speak on her book “Understanding Palestine and Israel,” a timely topic. Phyllis Bennis will give her audience plenty of time for questions to help us understand more about this complex region, in which the U.S. is also so heavily invested.

Open to students, faculty, staff and community members. For questions, you can contact Rannfrid Lasine Thelle at rannfrid.thelle@wichita.edu.
