The Department of Biomedical Engineering is honored to host a seminar with Dr. Jordan Borrell, assistant professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy Education at the University of Kansas Medical Center, at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11 virtually via Zoom.
His work focuses on helping people recover after injuries to the brain, spinal cord or nerves, as well as helping people adjust and heal after losing a limb. He studies how the brain can change, heal and reorganize itself after an injury. He is also interested in understanding how the brain processes pain, with the goal of improving rehabilitation treatments and reducing long-term pain for people living with injuries and disabilities.
