Plan ahead for adjusted hours on Labor Day

Labor Day is coming up Monday, Sept. 7, Shockers, and that means classes will not be in session, and certain services on campus will have adjusted hours.

The University Police Department will still work as normal. UPD is always available at 316-978-3450. The blue light emergency phones on campus will also connect you to UPD.

Housing and Residence Life front desk staff will operate their normal business hours during Labor Day to assist students with services like mail, lock outs and emergencies. Call the following numbers to contact the front desk for the respective buildings:

  • Shocker Hall: 316-978-3386
  • The Flats: 316-978-3320
  • The Suites: 316-978-6600

The Rhatigan Student Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Chick-fil-A will be serving students from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Shocker Dining Hall will have limited hours, lunch from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 10 p.m., and the Market at Groundhouse will remain open from 7 a.m. to midnight.
