Security update for WSU-owned Windows devices to be implemented March 10

As part of on-going efforts to maintain secure IT systems at Wichita State, on March 10, Information Technology Services (ITS) will be applying a number of new settings to WSU-owned Windows computers.

These settings will disable older, less secure protocols, enforce higher levels of encryption on the campus network and help to reduce malware infections. These setting will not affect functionality, and most users will not notice anything different in daily use.

The main difference that users will notice is a change when logging into their computers. Users will now be required to use Ctrl+Alt+Delete when logging on.

If you experience any other issues, contact the ITS Help Desk at 316-978-4357, option 1, or helpdesk@wichita.edu
