Student Government Association hosting RSO Week supporting Recognized Student Organizations

The Student Government Association is pleased to announce the upcoming RSO Week the week of Feb. 16, a series of professional development and engagement opportunities designed to support and strengthen Recognized Student Organizations across campus. This initiative aims to equip student leaders and members with essential knowledge, resources and collaborative networks necessary for effective organizational management and successful campus programming.

Throughout the week, specialized sessions will focus on financial management, campus space reservation procedures and strategic marketing and outreach. These workshops will be conducted by experienced student leaders and campus partners to ensure RSOs receive accurate guidance on policies, risk management, and best practices for event planning and recruitment.

  • Tea with Treasurer: 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17 in Shocker Hall
  • Reserving Space: Noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18 in 264 Rhatigan Student Center, Spencer Room
  • Marketing Workshop: 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19 in 265 RSC, Lucas Room

RSO Week reflects Wichita State’s commitment to fostering leadership, accountability and student involvement beyond the classroom. All RSO officers, members and prospective student leaders are strongly encouraged to participate and take advantage of these valuable learning opportunities.
