The Global Village Assembly is an annual open mic event hosted by Women’s, Ethnicity, and Intersectional Studies (WEIS). Each year, it centers on a theme relevant and related to current conversations on gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, class and the intersectional experience at WSU.
The event, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 2 in 211 Hubbard Hall, is open to all students, faculty and staff across the university and the broader Wichita-area community. It is a unique opportunity to share about life at WSU and consider changes that we can all do to provide a more equitable space of belonging.
