The Cohen Honors College Student Council, Faculty Council and deans cordially invite faculty and staff to the Cohen Honors College General Assembly and First-Year Colloquium Celebration in the Beggs Ballroom from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 2.
The event is celebrating 10 years of the Cohen Honors College along with all of the Honors Eras since the 1957 start of the Honors Program at Wichita State. Be sure to wear your name tag, if you have one.
Program outline:
Approximately 140 first-year students (including transfers) gathered twice each semester for the Honors Colloquium. The final gathering is open to current students, faculty and staff and will serve as the College General Assembly for the year.
- 3:30 p.m.: Welcome
- State of the College presentation
- 3:50 p.m.: Recognition of first-year students and graduating seniors in groups by college, student names slides
- 4 p.m.: Honors through the Eras photo slideshow
Light refreshments will be served
