College of Health Professions and KU School of Medicine-Wichita host the local CLARION Competition

Join the College of Health Professions and KU School of Medicine-Wichita for the local CLARION competition from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, March 7 at WSU Old Town.

The interprofessional competition challenges small teams of health professions students to analyze a current public health issue at the community level. This year’s focus is on climate change. Teams will present their root cause analysis and propose a holistic improvement plan, balancing real-world budgetary constraints and standards of practice.

The winning team will represent Kansas at the national CLARION competition in Minnesota April 11-12. Last year, the WSU/KU team earned a second-place finish at the national competition.
