Academic Resources Conference (ARC) 2025

Mark your calendars to join the Academic Resources Conference (ARC), Jan. 13, 2025 through Jan. 17, 2025. The sessions this year continue to include topics ranging from Blackboard to Microsoft to mandatory trainings. This upcoming semester, one of the biggest changes coming is the move away from Panopto. This means that there will be sessions dedicated to video tools available to instructors as well as how to integrate them within the Blackboard environment.

Another change coming this year is how you can plan and access the sessions. As you decide which sessions you want to attend, you will have the option to register for that session which will include both the link to access the session as well as the ability to RSVP and get the session into your Outlook Calendar.

Visit the January 2025 ARC page to find a downloadable PDF schedule, see session descriptions, register and add sessions to your calendar and find meeting links.

Wichita State is focused on student success and persistence for every student from admission to completion. In spring 2022, WSU received the National Institute for Student Success report that focused on identifying and resolving institutional barriers to college completion. This report provided four recommendations that focused on key actions that all members of Wichita State (faculty, staff and administrators) should implement to fully support the success of each student. Within NISS recommendation one, WSU is focusing on the use of academic data for course retention in ongoing efforts to fully support student success and persistence. One such data source examined are high D/F courses. These are courses where a larger percentage of students are not successful and would benefit from continuous support.
