The deadline for New and Continuing Student Scholarship Applications for the 2024-25 academic year has been extended to April 1 on Scholarship Universe.

ScholarshipUniverse is the scholarship-matching tool for admitted and current Wichita State students. The tool connects Shockers to millions of dollars in both institutional and external scholarships based on their personal information.

Jason Bosch

Dr. Jason Bosch, the assistant dean for student success in the College of Engineering and the president of the University Staff Senate, has accepted a new position at the Kansas Leadership Center. A farewell reception to recognize the distinguished service of Dr. Bosch is planned from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Feb. 5 in 142 Rhatigan Student Center, Harvest Room. WSU staff and faculty are encouraged to attend.

Rie Bloomfield Organ Series Wednesdays in Wiedemann with Lynne Davis 2023-2024 season

The first performance in 2024 of Wednesdays in Wiedemann with Professor Lynne Davis will take place at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7 in Wiedemann Hall on the great Marcussen organ.

There is admission at no additional charge to the half-hour program, which includes works by Nicolas de Grigny, Samuel Barber and Louis Vierne. Come and experience WSU’s iconic hall and organ.

Prospective Students Information Sessions. Master of Education in Learning and Instructional Design Wichita State University

For those who are interested in pursuing a graduate degree in the field of education and becoming an advanced professional, Wichita State offers a Master of Education in learning and instructional design. The program is designed to be innovative, dynamic and flexible, catering to the diverse needs and goals of individuals seeking to advance their careers in teaching, learning and program design.

Those interested in learning more about the program can attend virtual information sessions that are held at 7 p.m. the first Tuesday of every month during the fall and spring semesters. The next session is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6.

Step 3, employee self-evaluation, of the annual performance evaluation cycle for non-teaching employees has started and is due January 31. Non-teaching employees can now login to myPerformance, provide input about their job performance and accomplishments for the year, and then save and submit on the summary page.

Non-teaching employees, it’s time to complete your self-evaluation in myPerformance. The self-evaluation step in the performance evaluation cycle is your opportunity to provide input on your job performance and accomplishments since the beginning of the current review period that began on March 1, 2023. Go to myPerformance to access and complete your self-evaluation which is due by 11:59 p.m. Jan. 31.

Helpful hints:

  • You can access your performance evaluation as many times as you need during the month of January to update and complete your self-evaluation. Access will route from you to your leader Feb. 1, 2024.
  • Be sure to save and submit anytime you update or make changes to your self-evaluation. You still have access to make changes after you save and submit.
  • To find in-progress or past evaluations in myPerformance, check the small box “Show completed and expired tasks” then click “Search.”
