Ava Wilkie, senior at Wichita East High School, is the winner of the 2024 Lenora N. McGregor Endowed Scholarship at Wichita State University.

The Lenora N. McGregor Endowed Scholarship awards up to $26,000 over four years to an incoming freshman student who has demonstrated academic excellence, has an academic vision for the future and who expresses an interest in advancing knowledge through individual learning. The McGregor Scholar agrees to maintain active membership in WSU’s Dorothy and Bill Cohen Honors College.

Crafting Your Narrative is an empowering program dedicated to guiding black college students in shaping their personal brands and establishing a professional presence on social platforms.

Join Student Activities Council (SAC) for a showing of the 2016 movie, “Trolls,” at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 23 in the CAC Theater.

There will be popcorn, cotton candy and a troll’s headband craft. Participate in the trivia game starting at 6 p.m. where the winner will receive a prize basket with a mini popcorn maker, weighted blanket, Bluetooth speaker and candy.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. where crafts will be available, and the movie will start at 6:30 p.m. Bring a friend and have a fun evening.

Wichita State students can get in at no additional charge with a Shocker ID, faculty/staff are $5, kids 12 and under are $5, and the general public is $8.

The 2024 inaugural Staff Trainings Resources Initiatives Values and Engagement (STRIVE) conference Friday, March 22 was created as an opportunity for all WSU staff to participate in a free professional development opportunity and to network with other Shockers within the Wichita State University community.
