Elizabeth King, Wichita State Foundation and Alumni Engagement (WSUFAE) president and CEO emeritus, was inducted into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame as one of the 2024 honorees.

The recognition honors members of the Wichita business community who have shown an ability to be successful not only in business, but in their commitment to the local community and state as a whole.

WSU Library Photography Contest March 31 Deadline Snap, share, and win big with your best library photos!

Help Ablah Library spread the word about the WSU Library Photography Contest to students.

It is accepting photo submissions of Ablah Library until March 31 as it celebrates the 35th anniversary of the addition. Encourage your students to showcase their creativity for a chance to win prizes, including a $300 cash gift card, WSU Dining meal vouchers, a Shocker Sports Grill and Lanes party package and a Shocker Store gift card.

Submissions will be featured at an on-campus exhibit and online, giving valuable exposure for entrants’ works.

The contest is hosted by Ablah Library and the Arts, Design and Creative Industries Photo Guild.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Student Activities Council (SAC) has made the decision to cancel the Tree of Hope event scheduled March 11-15.

SAC thanks everyone for their understanding and hope to see the community at other upcoming events.

As Clinton Hall continues to see rapid growth towards completion, Evergy intends to set the new transformer for the building, and there will be a scheduled outage for Clinton Hall and Neff Hall beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 14.

The outage at Neff Hall will last the rest of the day and is not expected to impact any additional buildings, and power should be restored before start of business Friday, March 15.

There will be a noticeable amount of Evergy and Betzen traffic in the area north of the Rhatigan Student Center and west of Clinton Hall in the days leading up to the install.

Encourage your students to unlock the power of storytelling with ArcGIS StoryMaps. Join University Libraries for its workshop from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 at Ablah Library in the Digital Learning Commons (in-person and online). There is no cost to attend.

The session is perfect for beginners and will equip students with the skills to create engaging multimedia stories using text, maps, photos and videos. Encourage them to attend the Savvy Scholar workshop, where they’ll discover the art of crafting compelling narratives.

2nd Annual Women's Leadership Luncheon

Those interested in becoming a part of a Wichita State Women’s Leadership Initiative can join it for its second annual luncheon from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, March 25 in 305/306 Rhatigan Student Center, Beggs Ballroom.

The Women’s Leadership Initiative is looking for faculty, staff or students who would like to be a part of the conversation, planning and implementation of women-focused programs designed with women in mind from all levels on campus. Some things we will discuss are organizing mentoring circles, professional development, social events and campus culture enhancement.
