All faculty and staff are invited to discover how to promote equity through assessment by sharpening objectives for effective student learning and improving methods of communicating with students regarding their progress toward those objectives.
RSVP to the workshop online to attend the Promoting Equity through Assessment workshop, sponsored by the College of Applied Studies, from 3 to 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 29 in 261 Rhatigan Student Center, Olive Room or via Zoom. During the workshop — led by Barbara Glesner Fines, dean emerita of the UMKC Law School — participants will explore teaching that respects diverse ways of knowing and communicates high expectations for student learning.
