Attend the Culturally Responsive Practices Workshop Jan. 10

All faculty and staff are invited to explore diverse perspectives and approaches to teaching and professional practices as well as your own social identities during the Culturally Responsive Practices Workshop from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10 in 231/232 Woolsey Hall or via Teams. During this workshop, led by Dr. Bobby Berry, assistant dean in the College of Applied Studies; Dr. Sara Mata, executive director of Hispanic Serving Institution; and Dr. Jennifer Friend, dean, College of Applied Studies, participants will engage in reflection and dialogue and create an individual action plan to serve students through culturally responsive practices.

This is a hybrid session. Attend in person or use the Teams links through the Academic Resources Conference to join online. If you plan to attend the workshop, fill out this form so organizers can plan for online and F2F participants.

Immediately following the workshop, enjoy drinks and light appetizers from 4:15 to 6 p.m. at Wichita State Connect, a new space opening March 2024 for engagement with K-12 students, families and educators, at the former Wonder School building. RSVP for the mixer to Karla Jordan at 316-978-3987 or karla.jordan@wichita.edu
