The purpose of this study is to evaluate hearing aid users’ benefit from their hearing aids, with the goal to identify factors that relate to satisfaction with hearing aids.
Participants will complete a hearing test, a cognitive screener, a test of hearing aid function, a questionnaire of hearing aid benefit and a task where listeners must detect pitch differences in sounds. Participation is expected to last about one and a half to two hours and will take place at the Evelyn Hendren Cassat Speech-Language Hearing Clinic.
Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria:
- Participants must be age 18 years or older
- Must have hearing loss
- Must be a current hearing aid user
