SCCS offers tips regarding AI (artificial intelligence) versus AI (academic integrity)

Student Conduct & Community Standards (SCCS) aims to provide a valuable resource on artificial intelligence and its impact on academic integrity to WSU students. The guide explores three potential scenarios where artificial intelligence could lead to violations of the academic integrity policy:

  • Enhancement over substitution
  • Practice ethical behavior
  • Utilize transparency in work

It is essential to carefully review your instructors’ syllabi, as they will discuss whether the use of artificial intelligence is permitted or prohibited in their specific courses. If a course bans the use of artificial intelligence, any student using it will be in violation of academic integrity.

To report any academic integrity issues related to artificial intelligence or other concerns about another student’s conduct, use the academic integrity form (wichita.edu/reportit).
