SCCS offers tips regarding AI (artificial intelligence) versus AI (academic integrity)

Student Conduct & Community Standards (SCCS) aims to provide a valuable resource on artificial intelligence and its implications for academic integrity to WSU faculty and staff. The guide highlights three possible scenarios where AI could potentially violate the academic integrity policy:

  • Enhancement over substitution
  • Practice ethical behavior
  • Utilize transparency in work

Incorporating a discussion about the use of artificial intelligence in syllabi is crucial. For faculty who choose to ban AI in their courses, any student using it will be in violation of academic integrity.

To report any academic integrity issues related to AI or other matters, use the academic integrity form (wichita.edu/reportit).
