Seeking participants for a survey of experiences, feelings, acceptability

Seeking participants who are students at Wichita State, aged 18 and older, and feel they may be interested in learning more about how to enhance their ability to interact socially with others.

Interested participants will complete an online survey regarding their experiences, thoughts, feelings and attitudes. After completing the survey, you may be selected to participate in a face-to-face group, learning skills which some find useful in improving their social skills. If you express interest in participating further at the end of the survey, you will be contacted if you qualify based on your responses.

Those interested in participating should respond to the screening survey, “Screening Survey for the Impact of Face-to-Face Interaction on Social Skill” listed in the SONA experiment system. The survey is estimated to take 15-20 minutes, and individuals taking part in the screening survey will earn two SONA credit for WSU courses. You may also choose to enter your name for a chance to win a $30 Walmart Gift Card. At the conclusion of data collection for the study, three winners will be selected randomly. Winners will be contacted via email regarding how to collect their gift card.

Study payments are taxable income. If selected as a winner, you will be asked to complete a W9 form which requires your name, address and social security number to receive study payments. A Form 1099 will be sent to you and to the Internal Revenue Service if your payments are $600 or more in a calendar year.
