Respondus LockDown Browser and Monitor will no longer be available starting Aug. 1

In an effort to minimize risks to privacy, security and student costs associated with virtual proctoring, Wichita State will no longer use Respondus LockDown Browser and Monitor for courses, whether in-person, hybrid or online after July 31. WSU has approved Examity as the only choice for virtual proctoring.

Examity allows for automated (recorded only and irregularities flagged by AI) and live proctoring options. WSU will support up to two automated exams for those courses needing virtual proctoring. Any proctoring beyond that will be billed to the department. Live proctoring will continue to be paid directly by students.
