The Office of Engagement is kicking off summer by hosting its third annual Shockers Under the Stars community summer movie. This year, it will be screening “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” a film centered around teamwork, conquering fear and believing in oneself. The event will kick off at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 21 at the Duerksen Amphitheatre.
Attendees will be able to decorate and create a flag representing their neighborhood (the Office of Engagement will be making one for Shocker Neighborhood) before the movie. There will also be youth vendors and a couple of food trucks. Those who designed a flag can bring it to the outdoor movie in the fall to celebrate Good Neighbor Week and be entered for a prize.
