Healthcare Research Roundtable to be hosted April 27

Join Wichita State for a Healthcare Research Roundtable to update the community on the latest health care research and developments coming from WSU from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 27 in 265 Rhatigan Student Center, Lucas Room.

This event is open to all faculty and staff at WSU interested in healthcare research, and its purpose is to initiate a discussion of healthcare research opportunities.

Coleen Pugh, vice president for research and dean of the graduate school, will provide an overview of health care research at WSU; Zach Gearhart, chief of staff for the president, will give an update on the downtown Biomedical Campus; and President Rick Muma and Shirley Lefever, executive vice president and provost, will be present for a Q&A session.

There will be four to six short presentations from faculty illustrating potential areas of health care research followed by round table discussions to explore health care research opportunities at WSU.

All are welcome to participation. To ensure an accurate count for lunch, RSVP no later than Monday, April 24. For more information about the event, contact Dr. Bayram Yildirim, chair of the president’s Innovation Advisory Committee, at bayram.yildirim@wichita.edu or at 316-978-3426.
