Cindy Coughenour, founder of Fearless and Female, will instruct up to 35 participants on tactics relating to self-defense starting at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 9 in 141 Heskett Center. The workshop is hosted by the Student Activities Council.
Wichita State faculty and staff can register for the one-hour workshop at $10 plus fees and includes interactive instruction and a stabby kitty key ring. An ice cream social will follow the program.
Cindy founded Fearless and Female in 2001 as a direct response to the murder of her childhood friend, Julie Ladd. As a professional speaker and self-defense advocate, Cindy is certified and trained in many different forms of self-defense such as Krav Maga and Jane Jitsu.
