CAPS to host preventing suicide training and awareness walk

For Wellness Week, Counselling and Prevention Services (CAPS) is promoting mental wellness by hosting its next #WSUWeSupportU preventing suicide training and a walk across campus to show support for suicide prevention.

The training will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27 in 265 Rhatigan Student Center. The walk will be directly after the training and will go through the middle of campus from the RSC to the Student Wellness Center. Participants will receive a Suspenders4Hope T-shirt upon completion of the training and are encouraged to wear it during the walk.

The training is open to all participants. Students can register via the CAPS webpage, and staff and faculty can register on myTraining.

For any questions about the training or how to register, contact Rachael Gladden, CAPS outreach coordinator, at rachael.gladden@wichita.edu.
