The College of Engineering is sponsoring activities and events to celebrate National Engineers Week from Monday, Feb. 20 through Saturday, Feb. 25. Below are a list of activities and events for students, staff and faculty. For more information, visit the Engineers Week homepage on the website. Kick-off/dean meet and greet Meet Dr. Anthony Muscat, dean of the College of Engineering, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the John Bardo Center and enjoy connecting with the engineering community on campus. In addition to food, there will be an exclusive College of Engineering Campfire Mug available for the first 200 students. Golden calculator search Every day between Monday, Feb. 20 and Friday, Feb. 25, get a daily clue on the College of Engineering’s Instagram account and try to find one of five hidden golden calculators in the College of Engineering buildings to win a prize. Vision boards with academic advisors From 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21 in the ESSC Lounge in Partnership Building 2, students can create a visual of what they want their future to look like while meeting and hanging out with their department academic advisor. Carnival and student organization fair Engineering student organizations will be tabling and hosting activities from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22 in the John Bardo Center to go along with the theme of the week: “Creating the Future.” Bowling night Enjoy an evening of cosmic bowling with fellow College of Engineering students, staff and faculty from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 at the Shocker Sports Grill and Lanes. Participants are welcome to bring spouses, significant others and/or children.. 5k run/walk Join The College of Engineering for a 5k run/walk and compete against Dr. Anthony Muscat, Jacob Mendez and Nathan Smith from the Engineering dean’s office at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 from the John Bardo Center courtyard. Students, staff and faculty are welcome to participate and bring spouses, significant others and/or children. The race will occur on the WSU campus and will conclude with snacks, water and a celebration! Participants must register by Friday, Feb. 17.
