Learn Linux basics during free workshops

The Wichita State Linux User’s Group (WuLUG) is hosting a free Linux Basics Workshop every Friday starting on Nov. 4. These NetApp-sponsored workshops are open to everyone and begin at 6 p.m. in 231 Beggs Hall.

Linux is a computer operating system used primarily for servers. It is associated with many tools commonly used in IT, software development, cybersecurity, and related fields. Topics covered during the workshop include the Linux command line, common Linux tools, Linux troubleshooting, and the Linux help system. Linux skills are useful for coding, cybersecurity, fixing computers, adding to your resume, personal projects, class projects, and engineering projects.
