On behalf of the Midwest Asian American Students Union (MAASU), Asian Student Conference presents the MAASUx: “Lost in Translation” conference beginning at 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 12 at Woolsey Hall. The day will include social activities, networking opportunities, a leadership development and cultural discovery.
The theme for the conference is a reference to how Asian American students often feel lost in between their rich cultural background and their current lifestyles. It also encompasses the struggles that Asian Americans face in their attempts to connect to their own heritage and surrounding community.
The even is free to students but slots are limited to 50. Registration begins at midnight Sunday, Sept. 25.
