Are you looking for volunteer opportunities? Do you want to help a fellow Shocker? The Office of Disability Services is in need of note-takers for students who have disabilities that make it difficult to take notes.
At the end of the semester, the Office of Disability Services will provide volunteering students with a letter of commendation and a letter of reference. Volunteering for this service may require the student to attend an additional class. Other requirements include the following:
- Taking a short online training on note-taking
- Vounteers must sign a confidentiality contract
- Setting up a OneDrive or OneNote folder and sending a link to the folder to dsnotetaker@wichita.edu
- Uploading notes to the folder after each class meeting
