Encourage students to become prevention ambassador

Faculty should encourage their students to apply to become prevention ambassadors. Students who accept the position are eligible for a zero-credit internship after a minimum commitment of three semesters. Applications will be accepted until July 15.

Prevention Services has developed a student ambassador program for the Prevention Services Advisory Board (PSAB) over the past few years. Their purpose is to provide an opportunity for Wichita State students to develop leadership, community outreach and human services skills. They also serve as change agents in promoting health, wellness and mental health awareness in the WSU community. Ambassadors create events, provide information via tabling and give presentations on topics they feel are relevant to fellow students.
