Invent for the Planet (IFTP) is a competition that will begin at 4 p.m. Feb. 18 and end at 4 p.m. Feb. 20 at the John Bardo Center. During the competition, participants will be solve real-world problems for 48 hours. At the same time, students from across the globe will work on the same issues, which allows participants to collaborate and learn from peers all worldwide. Mentors will also be available during the competition. Participants can form teams of four to six people or they can be placed with other individuals to form a team. All teams will present their solutions to judges for a chance to win more than $500 in prizes. Meals and snacks will be provided.
