The Office of Diversity and Inclusion will host a Transgender Day of Remembrance memorial ceremony at 7 p.m. today, Nov. 18 at the Grace Memorial Chapel. The event is co-sponsored by Spectrum: LGBTQ and Allies. The annual observance honors the memory of those whose lives were lost in an act of anti-transgender violence.
The event will also include a Belonging Plaza presentation. Belonging Plaza is an outdoor pop-up commemorative gathering and programming tool designed to move to different locations on campus. It is meant to allow student and community groups to highlight a variety of underrepresented or marginalized trailblazers.
