In observance of the 20th-anniversary commemoration of 9/11, Wichita State’s Military and Veteran Center will offer a banner for students, faculty and staff to pen messages of grief or comfort they wish to express in remembrance of the day from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at the center’s location in Grace Wilkie Hall (room 105).
The banner will be permanently displayed as a constant reminder to the memory of those who lost their lives during the events of 9/11, as a symbol to never to forget the lives lost and the heroic efforts of all who paid the ultimate sacrifice in light of overwhelming odds.
