WSUPD Capt. Guy Schroeder will serve at interim police chief

Werner Golling, Wichita State Finance and Administration vice president, is pleased to announce that WSU Police Capt. Guy Schroeder will serve as interim police chief as of Sept. 5.

Schroeder began his law enforcement career at WSU in 2014 after serving as a police officer for the City of Wichita for 33 years. During that time, he served in many different positions of responsibility, including patrol officer, drug enforcement administration, detective work, SWAT team commander and undercover operations.

A national search will be conducted to replace outgoing Police Chief Rodney Clark, who recently accepted a position at the University of North Dakota as associate vice president for public safety and chief of police. Golling praised Clark for his incredible and dedicated service at WSU for the past three years.

The entire WSU community wishes Chief Clark and his wife, Anna, great success as they move on to the next chapter of the lives.
